By the time this film was made Sellers was burnt out, really did not want to be playing Inspector Clouseau yet again. He was only doing so because he was contractually obligated to do so and it did show.

Clouseau farting in the elevator alone was worth the price of admission. Sellers was a comic genius. The supporting cast in the series too was outstanding. Herbert Lom, Burt Kwouk, Graham Stark, Harvey Korman all had such great chemistry with Sellers.
