If Gilligan's Island Was Based On Total Reality.............. ...........

The radio batteries would have gone dead after a few weeks.

Nobody would have luggage for a 3 hour boat tour, just their cameras, purses and the clothes on their backs.

The lack of food, clothes, medical supplies and any other necessities or modern conveniences of civilization would have made existence on the island a very primitive ordeal. eg: Tiny huts with mounds of grass for beds.

Relationships would have eventually developed - the Professor + Ginger? Gilligan + Mary Anne?

The wreckage of The Minnow would have been used to build a small boat as a way to get off the island.

Out of all the people who briefly visited the island and left again, surely one of them would have told authorities about the castaways still stranded out there and their need for rescue.

There wouldn't be a show to watch if most of the conceits that you mentioned could not be accepted.

Nevertheless, as far as the radio batteries go, it was explained in the original series itself that the Professor had constructed a primitive, foot pedaled generator to keep the batteries charged; however, by the time of "Rescue..." the batteries had long gone completely dead and could not be recharged again, and the last few years the castaways spent on the island were without the benefit of knowing what was going on back in civilization.

As a documentary about survival on an uncharted island, this television program is a complete failure.

How dare you!

I disagree. After seeing this movie and watching the entire TV series, I have come to conclusion that there are no plot holes within the Gilligans Island universe.
