Surrealistic film??

I have this on bootleg dvd and watched it with a few people, and one person commented that it's a "surrealistic" film. I don't agree, I think it does try to be surrealistic but falls far short of that category. Agreed there definitely is a lot of weirdness going on at times, but that's about it.
