Baby being breastfed.

Was that Sarandon's baby? Anyone know?

You know, actually, I was wondering this when I rewatched this film last night. Sarandon had not had children yet when she made this film...and said in an interview she didn't quite know how to "act" the childbirth scene.

I didn't know babies will latch on to women who aren't producing milk....and apparently stay there (??) (not that it's something I often dwell on)

Or, maybe they super-glued the baby to Sarandon for the scene (??)

I've never had kids (and I never plan to) but apparently, yes, babies will latch onto ANYTHING that they think will produce milk for them. There's a very funny scene in an episode of Cheers, when Frasier is hiding his son from his wife (because they've been arguing about having their son circumcised), and enters the bar. He's wearing a long overcoat to hide the fact that he's got the kid. While talking to Sam or whomever, occasionally, he utters an, "Ouch!" and later, a "Ouch, Dammit Frederick, give it up. It's just not going to happen," because the kid apparently is trying to latch on to his dad to get the milk he wants.
