A simple yet notable error? (spoliers)

After 'leaving' the solar system, The first star doesnt appear in the frame until between 10 and 100 light years - yet in actuality the closest stars are 4.5 light years away?

Still doesnt exactly detract from the film, but its appears to be a mistake - surely the understanding of the closest stars hasnt changed since 1977?

Which of course also depends on other factors as well, namely time of year, which I believe they said was September.

... actually, that's the only other factor I can think of.
