It's a damn good B movie, with some biting satire too...It deserves better.

Hear hear. It's very amusing and moves like a rocket. It's like there's some little bit of suspense or action every five minutes. A great '70s creature feature.

It should get a 6 just for the camp factor. It's a fun movie to watch but not academy award winning material for sure.

I remember seeing Piranha as a kid back in the late 70s. It surprisingly holds up well after 30 years!

I too don't agree with the overall medium rating on the IMDb. This film is one of my all-time favorite tongue-in-cheek 70's drive-in B-flicks. 9 out of 10 from me.

1,000 mini-bios and I feel like I'm just getting started

I'd give it an 8/10. It is a fun movie with very good characters and a great cast.
