Different versions of Patrick available on DVD

There appear to be three different versions of Patrick available on DVD throughout the world.

The UK and US DVDs showcase the full uncut version of the film, with Brian May score.

The Italian DVD is the 97-minute cut of the film in Italian, re-scored by Goblin. http://www.filmacasa.it/singolo_dvd/singolo_dvd.asp?idpromotore=59&id=3658

The German DVD (titled Patricks Höllentrip) includes an even shorter version (German only), apparently clocking in at 84 minutes. No idea about the score though. http://www.amazon.de/Patricks-H%C3%B6llentrip-Susan-Penhaligon/dp/B00005IC5L/sr=1-19/qid=1170026768/ref=sr_1_19/302-4369753-5919245?ie=UTF8&s=dvd (Another version running 87 minutes has also been released on German DVD, as well as the uncut version.) Having only seen the uncut version which I found a bit bloated (especially in the last 25 minutes), I for one would be very curious to see what these different versions are like; whether a pacier approach suits the film much better, or just makes it incomprehensible.

Goblin! Ace. They make great soundtracks to Dario Argento's films.... I shall have to seek out a copy of that

There's also an Australian cheapo edition: uncut, Brian May, open-matte...

Wow cool.

Re-scored by Goblin???? I had no idea. It's a funny old world innit.

And yeah, the original uncut AUS version definitely could have lost 10+ minutes somewhere after the 70 minute mark.

Don't laugh, but I sought this movie out BECAUSE I managed to obtain a Patrick Goblin score online awhile back! So I just saw a version that ran about hour & 47 mins (give or take a minute or two)...IMAGINE my dissapointment not hearing a single note of the Goblin score I was SO looking forward to! Had not realized the Goblin score was ONLY On the Italian version of the film (I assume with full Italian language dub to go along with it)...very dissapointed as, like the Italians back in the 70s, found the original score very drab & generic.
