Goblin score

has it ever been released? I would love to hear their theme as I thought the Brian May version was lacking.

reply

yes, it was released, i don't know any more than that. a friend of mine sent me a bootleg copy once. i really want the movie version with the goblin score.

I happen to download several older Goblin soundtracks and one of them happen to be of this movie (never saw it). Had cover art and sounds pretty "official" (not an FX filled one I've often found on the net).

Imagine my dissappointment, FINALLY seeking out Patrick and watching it today, only to notice not ONE note of the Goblin score was played! Ugh! I imagine this movie would benefit from the Goblin score!

Here is the track list from the album currently on my iPod (listened to it yesterday in fact) if it helps in any way:

1. Patrick (4:20)
2. Transmutate (2:23)
3. Baglori Di Luce (2:28)
4. Visioni (2:22)
5. Snip Snap (3:32)
6. Metamorphosi (2:15)
7. Follie (3:45)
8. Vibrazioni (3:14)
9. Metamorphosi II Parte (2:32)
10. Transmutate (4:12)
11. Visioni (1:43)
12. Metamorphosi (3:11)
13. Patrick (3:49)
14. Transmutate (1:36)
15. Baglori Di Luce (1:29)
16. Patrick (1:24)
17. Patrick (3:01)
18. Patrick (0:56)
19. Patrick (Finale) (0:43)

The exact same scenario just happened to me. I'm a fan of Goblin, and was already familiar with the "Patrick" soundtrack. I was in the process of watching it when I realized that this was no Goblin score! I decided to put it on hold until I can obtain the Italian version. I mean, props to Brian May and all, but Goblin's OST was a big part of my motivation to watch in the first place! (Plus it would be super disappointing to miss out on Snip Snap.)

The Severin Blu-ray has the Italian track as an option (the Italian version was trimmed to around one hundred minutes so the track defaults to English for the cut scenes).
