multi-regional dvd player

I bought an inexpensive so-called "multi-regional" dvd player on eBay thru a cybershop. The player, a Philips, was cheap, but with shipping, the total cost was $50.00. At my request, the seller provided me with some special instructions which enabled me to program the player to play all regions, including region 2, the UK.

I've been playing the series and it's everything I remember. Waterston is amazing!

I suspect that the series never will be released in the states and perhaps it's wisest just to buy a 'multi-regional' player--I put that in quotes, as it's technically illegal to market such a player.
