Same screenwriter as 'Arthur'

I haven't seen this film yet, but writer Ken Levine (http://kenlevine.blogspot.com/) says this about the writer: "...nobody wrote sharper or funnier comic dialogue than Steve." This film was Steve Gordon's first, and it didn't do well at the box office. "Arthur," of course, was a smash hit.

Good point, but then he wrote "Arthur 2: On the Rocks".

He actually died six years before they made arthur 2: on the rocks.....

Another thing to point out: Henry Winkler's character is depicted as wearing faux-fur (or, as Kim Darby calls it, "furlon"), long before the animal-rights activism of Bob Barker et al.

One of the better lines was where skinny little Andy is sitting in the dressing room of the arena and his opponent "Indian Joe", about 6 feet and 230 pounds, walks in wearing his Indian Chief get up with his "squaw", snarls at Andy and heads for the toilets. When the manager comes in and sees Andy with a stunned look Andy says "There's a building in there having a leak!"
