great film

I first saw this when the BBC showed a series of Australian films in the early 1980s.
The film covers the lives of newsreel crews from the 1940s to the mid 1960s.
Australia matures,they mature they argue about politics and religion and they drink and chase women.
I can imagine it being remade set in another country,it is a clever way to tell a story.
