Opening Credits

Has anyone noticed during the opening credits at one stage you are in Sydney next Melbourne(maybe even Adelaide) and then back to Sydney!

Yep there's definately some Adelaide in the opening credits. The train at the crossing gives it away.

The tyre garrage used in the film was, back in 1978, called "Jim Girk Tyres" and was on the corner of Regency Rd & Bevan Ave, Broadview in Adelaide. The building is still standing but the business moved out in about 1990 or so.

The speedway used was Rowley Park Speedway in Adelaide which was located on Torrens Rd, Brompton until its closure at the end of the 1979 season.

Yeah, I think it's Adelaide, which is supposed to pass for Sydney. Budget restrictions maybe. It was made by the South Aus Film Corporation with the assistance of the NSW Film Corp.
