Yikes, I love both John and Lily, but this has got to be one of the worst Hollywood ever released. The story is believable, but they must have not been very motivated, because they both acted as if made of cardboard. The chemistry between them was as bad as my 9th grade chem class. I think they both had the flu when filming this forgettable film.

shareActually, the chemistry was between Lily and the director, Jane Wagner, who happened to be her lifemate. Comedienne Tomlin plays it -er- straight in this one, and she can't handle the role (I'd giver her performance One Ringy-Dingy out of four). This is also the movie that began the careening downhill of John Travolta's charisma as a leading man. 'Fever' and 'Grease' were quickly forgotten when he started making dreck like MTM (as well as 'Staying Alive' and 'Perfect'). He did recover by the end of the 80s, but for a while there he was not on the studios' 'A' list.

I agree that this is the worst mainstream movie ever made; Isn't She Great with Bette Midler comes in a very close second. When I saw Moment in a theater when it was first released, my friends and I debated about walking out, something I've never done. We stayed, hoping it would get better. It didn't.
