I heard that the DVD of Les Miz was originally much longer on the VHS version, and the original air date was even longer -- consisting of many weeks which is tons of hours. Does anyone know anything about this? How do the VHS and DVD versions compare?
shareThe VHS tape ran 150 minutes, the DVD is only 121 minutes. So the DVD is missing about 30 minutes of footage.
This was originally shown in two parts on British TV. I don't know if the VHS cut was shorter than the broadcast.
