remake?

they have either remaded or are planing on remaking so many horror movies from the 70s rather its a good or bad idea.so i cant help but wonder if this will be one of them, so does anyone know if they are doing that? i wonder what the new cast would be if they are.

I'm actually in the process of writing a modern-day treatment for it, including some interesting takes one the backstory...

Please don't ruin another classic by remaking it!!!! The original is fine the way it is!!!!!

If you're going to write a treatment, write about something original instead of something already done and done well!!!!

though i think they could have done better (it seems they jump to quickly to Corky being a whack job without enough time spent on the struggle that prompted it)... I do not think they should do a remake... they almost -always- ruin it.

I concur, this movie had its flaws. But Hopkins as spectacular in it. I'm sure it could be done again, maybe even done really well. I'd be interested in seeing maybe Christopher Nolan do a movie about it. I think it would be right up his ally. No Christian Bale though :P. Ralph Feines maybe?
