Such a great movie but (with spoilers)

I wish they had done the ending a little different. It felt like a missed opportunity to me. I really would have appreciated it much more if we had seen Corky as Ann Margaret called out that she had changed her mind about leaving with him. From there that could have showed either his painful reaction as he realized he had taken his life prematurely and could have had the life he wanted, or even the satisfaction of knowing that she did love him as he drifted away. Seems that would have had a greater impact to me. Still an outstanding film, an easy 9/10
