I barely remember another similar movie, help please?

I have read many of the posts here, but still nothing quite matches another movie I vaguely remember.

I do remember a “vortex” that was the main point in this movie.  A large ‘V’–shaped cloud was outside, near a family’s home out in the country, causing them a lot of trouble.

That is all I remember.  For some reason, during all these years, I was sure it was based on LaserBlast somehow, perhaps some of the same actors, and/or production company, etc.  It had similar low–budget “look & feel” with the f/x etc.  The story timeline was “current” i.e. 1970s or ’80s.

I’d like to get a copy on DVD, of several of these ‘B’ movies, if they are still in print.  I’m also hoping the studios would consider re-mastering them in hi–def blurays.  Yes I say they do deserve equal treatment as the big–budget flicks.  ;)

I really appreciate any help jogging my neurons, please.  ;)
