Here is the start of the list I have of every question NEVER answered in this movie. Many of them are from the first 5 minutes of the movie...
1. How did the alien guy with the gun get to Earth?
2. Who is the villian(S)? The guy with the gun or the creatures on the spaceship?
3. After killing the gun guy why did they leave the gun and the necklace there?
4. Just how many guys did ask the mom to go to Acapulco?

9. How did the aliens get all those great camera angles of Billy testing the weapon he'd found?
10. What was operation sandstorm?
11. Was the moped damaged when Keenan knocked it over in anger?
12. Why was Billy (good looking, sensitive & fit) bullied, but Froggy (rail thin, not so good looking & very annoying geek) part of the evil in-crowd?

1. How did the alien guy with the gun get to Earth?
I figured he was just another human who somehow got ahold of the gun and mutated. Of course that simply opens up MORE questions about HOW he got it and why there werent mentions of a previous destructive rampage. Unless all he did with the gun while he had it was just flee through the Nevada Desert after stealing it and never really had a chance to find anything / anyone to shoot.
As for the Froggy question, it's likely just a nickname.

Only explanation that makes sense to me would be that like all the humans in this movie, the Aliens are complete imbeciles too.
Why, and when is the South gonna do it again?
Why is a lucid Dennis Hopper in this film?

This film was not made by a major studio it was made by Charles Band who most likely spent no more then $200,000 to make this film

3. The aliens were bounty hunters who were paid just to kill the first guy. The weapon and pendant were worthless to them so they just left them there. Later when the human found the weapon and started causing trouble their boss called them and told them to go back and retrieve it.
shareJust to add to this, they were also buzzed by a low flying Plane that might have added to them leaving quickly and leaving the pendant / weapon behind.

Q. What was Billy's cause of death?
A. In an attempt to not destroy Billy, but rather only the laser-gun and the amulet, the aliens has to acquire a special laser (this is why it took them so long to return). So the aliens acquired said special laser which only destroys heavy metals, found Billy, and then shot him with it... zapping the heavy metals which composed both the gun and amulet from existence. Unfortunately, humans need certain heavy metals to live, such as iron, and therefore it is my conclusion that Billy died from heart failure due to absolute iron deficiency. Cheers ;-)
