what sane person would give this anything over a 4?

HOW DID 8.7% RATE THIS A TEN?!!! Maybe if you knew one of the actors or something I could see giving it a 4, but otherwise anything over a 2 and your messed up. This was absolutely terrible.

I would never rate it a ten. But I did give it half that. Frankly, I didn't find it all that bad. And instead of watching the film and looking for the parts I could criticize, I instead viewed this just looking for a little escape / enjoyment. Which is what it did.

Bonus, it got me to rediscover Cheryl "Rainbeaux" Smith. What a honey she was.

I give this one a 7 for the entertainment value. Cheese can be Very entertaining, and id rather sit through this ten times than watching Avatar even once more...
Also, the ending is great!

To hell with what the OP thinks...i wants to see this again just for old times sake

I'd possibly give this movie an "8" rating, but only because I remember watching it as a very young kid in the early 80's and it stayed with me.

Up until ten minutes ago, all I could remember about this movie was that there was something about a necklace burning into a guys chest and something about a laser gun. Periodically through the years -when I thought about it, which was rare- I'd try searching for things that might lead me to find this movie I could vaguely half-remember (like trying to remember a dream whilst on your lunch break), but I never found anything. About ten minutes ago, I did a search for "necklace burned into chest" and eventually found my way to "Laserblast".

So, while I haven't seen the movie in over 30 years, and I don't really remember anything about it, i DO remember it. The only other movies that I remember watching in the early 80's were:
Raiders of the lost ark,
Return of the jedi,
ET
Ghostbusters and
Nightmare on Elm St.

So this movie will always be in the company of the aforementioned movies in my mind, and no matter how bad it actually turns out to be when I finally find a copy of it, it will always hold a special place in my memories :)

Peace

Some people genuinely like B movies. While I wouldn't consider Laserblast a personal favorite, I enjoyed it and rated it 7/10.

The laserblasts certainly made it more watchable than the 02/10 it otherwise deserves.
