This movie makes me nostalgic.

Aww, man... I was 15 when this came out. I had been a KISS fan for about 2 years. I remember (vaguely) seeing it on network TV...

Yes, it's cheesy and terribly acted. And the special effects are terrible. It's never going to win an Academy Award. But there's a '70's TV series aura about it that makes it compelling... at least to me.

What kills me about rewatching today at 51, is the overwhelming nostalgia that washes over me when I hear the music (the absolute BEST part of the movie) and see the fashions and haircuts of the general public in the park. And remembering what it was like to go to rock concerts in the late 1970's. Seeing KISS in their Alive II costumes was almost too much...

We lose something when we grow up - our sense of wonder. Unless you're a true KISS fan, like me, you're probably not going to enjoy this movie as an adult.

I plan on screening this with my 9 and 10-year-old at the soonest opportunity.

Love this movie!

I hear you. I was born in '74, but I have strong memories of KISS and the era. I'm more of an 80s kid, but it's funny when I watch something of this sort from the 70s I walk smack dab into a brick wall of untapped nostalgia.

They were entertaining and fresh until 1978. 'Love Gun' was the end of an era. I can see why adults thought they were stupid back then....b/c they were. But they were fun-I'll give them that. I don't miss them, but I miss the 70s tho. The world's lost its sense of fun. All the tech is turning us into machines ourselves. Sad.
