Pods And Past Footage

Once the pods have conquered Earth, what would happen to media footage of people actually showing emotions, passion and independent courses of action? Like film copies of Gene Kelly's "Singin' in the Rain" number, old wartime newsreels, taped sitcoms stored in TV studios, magazines that show glimpses of the colorful former times. All of this and more would be both puzzling and useless to pod consumers of the New Order.
