Interesting Movie

I just watched this today. I'm a fan of filipino culture and I've been studying their art and entertainment for the past year. This was a decent movie. I loved the main characters especially Hilda Koronel as the lead. I'm surprised there aren't any posts here but let me be the first to recommend this movie if you're not afraid of subtitles and asian culture other than the same old chinese, japanese and korean fair, pique your interest.

I'd love to see more movies from The Philippines, Laos, Myanmmar(Burma), Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia. I'm talking about normal movie genres that show everyday life in those countries not just historic or war movies like we're used to associating with them. There's so much about those cultures we don't even know.

I just saw it on NF too. Very good flick about a cultiure I've never known anything about. I love that it was just a very simple story and not all jazzed up to be anything that it isn't. I'd love to see more movies like this.

I recently watched my first Lao movie, The Rocket, which was a bit conventional, but very good nonetheless. It was also nice seeing film locations where I travelled.
