Filming Locations

First let me say I think it was a great movie. Times were different and most people didn't give a God Damn about older men romancing PYT or even underage drinking at adult social parties but my question is this ...where was the hotel in the early part of the the movie which shows the famously high end, but now long gone Sulka boutique ? There weren't many , NYC , Paris , London , San Francisco. Imdb Filming locations don't say exactly where. The hotel was beautiful ... Anyone know?

I read at the end of the film that this movie was filmed in Colorado, but I could be mistaken. I tried looking it up, but can't find it.

Colorado and Minnesota were the locations. Wikipedia doesn't specify specifically where.

The one scene was in the White Bear Lake hippodrome. An old ice skating rink near the old high school.

They also filmed scenes at Wakota Arena in South St. Paul, MN and at the Broadmore Arena, where Colorado College plays.

If you're referring to the hotel used for filming location in Colorado, that was the world-famous Broadmoor Hotel (as was correctly mentioned in the movie, and also in the end credits). Not sure, but I think ? I recall reading somewhere, some years back, that this hotel may have been demolished??? If so, what a shame, no?

The ice arena was demolished, but the Broadmoor Hotel still exists.

At the beginning of the film, Nick drives under a railroad and turns right. I think that is Waverly in Minnesota, specifically the junction of County Road 8 SW and Atlantic Avenue.
