and by far, really far. I mean, the writing in the original is one of the very worst I've ever seen, and I've seen lots of films. Bad acting, bad directing, visually upsetting, poor cinematography. What a crap. The actress was the only valuable thing in it.
Absolutely...not! The original was exponentially better. The remake varied significantly from the original storyline and not in a good way - quite boring, actually.
The opinions on which movie is "better" are split; People over 25 will prefer the 1978 original, while people under 25, who just care about the gore effects and a fast pace, will go with the utterly TRASHY remake.
What an idiotic comment. You obviously have zero concept/understanding of the grindhouse genre. The 1978 movie "I Spit On Your Grave" is an iconic 70's exploitation film, which has been reviled, discussed, analyzed, and endlessly copied for decades. 25 plus years later, this little, low budget film has not been forgotten. It's even inspired a remake. I saw the remake, and although It is a bit better than all the other horror classic reboots, I can barely remember it now. However I vividly can recall every frame of the original. There is a reason for that. So why don't you go re-watch "Kill Bill" and leave the real movies to those who understand the genre?
the updated version didn't get my attention. & I watched it several times & got easily distracted. & gave up after several tries. 1978 wins for me hands down. I agree with you saying the original version stays on the mind much more the remake.
