Hooper's horse - Dancer
Does anyone know what breed of horse Dancer was? I say a Quarter horse but someone else says Arabian. There's a pretty serious bet hinging on the correct answer.

shareDon't know much about horses, but is it possible that Dancer could be a Morgan. Lots of western stars used to ride them because of their speed and their ability to do stunts. Allan Rocky Lane and Bill Elliott both used the same horse in the Red Ryder movies. He later became known as Blackjack.
shareMarCowgirl--I agree with you.
I've been raising/training Quarter Horses and Paints for years and I'd say Dancer was a Quarter Horse. (He does have a face like an Arabian, but his legs and rump are too stocky, so I'd put my money on him being a Quarter Horse.)
Hope you still get to call in that bet--even after 12 years!
