Song Parody: 'The Hero of Lake-town'

I found this fine and shiny ballad posted at TheOneRing.net:

The Hero of Lake-town (sung to "The Hero of Canton")

Bard!
The Man they call Bard!
Oh, he shot straight and true
Didn’t weep or implore.
Stood up to ol’ Smaug
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
to explain it ain’t hard.
The hero of Laketown
the man they call Bard.

Bard saw the Lake-town homes burnin’.
He heard the Lake folks’ lament.
And he saw Smaug comin’ back ‘round
With an evil destroying intent.
So he said: "You can't do that to my people."
Said "You can't crush them with your flame."
Then Bard grabbed his great bow
and his quiver and so
Set out for a dragon to tame.

Oh, he shot straight and true
Didn’t weep or implore.
Stood up to ol’ Smaug
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
to explain it ain’t hard.
The hero of Laketown
the man they call Bard.

Now here is what separates heroes
from common folk, it’s a fact.
The man they call Bard
He’d shot all his arrows
‘Cept one that was ancient and black.
He knew where to shoot
‘Cause he heard a bird’s cry.
The man they called Bard
Let that Black Arrow fly
And Smaug he fell out of the sky!

(Here we go!)
Oh, he shot straight and true
Didn’t weep or implore.
Stood up to ol’ Smaug
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
to explain it ain’t hard.
The hero of Laketown
the man they call Bard...

If you're a troll, does that make your mother a trollop? (Relax--this is only a siggy!)
