I don't know if this was made for kids or not ,but I watched this as a kid and I was so terrified. Nothing about this is remotely appealing! And with the live Hobbit's recent release, I was finally able to put a name to the horror movie of my childhood!

I think I first saw this when I was 4, it took me a couple years before I could sit through the entire Gollum scenes without covering my eyes. The ways his pupils dilate... it's still pretty creppy.

I don't remember Gollum bothering me as much as the Goblin scene and they're song especially the intro music when the ponies are taken. The trumpet is what really got me and the dwarves all shaking with the red lights

I rewatched this movie after seeing Peter Jackson's first movie and I was surprised about how short this scene was because in my mind it was a lot longer
I loved all hobbit movie's but the goblin scenes really pissed me off! Honestly they look like pussies in the movie! Where are their giant teeth at comin up from the over/under bite? Just pathetically done & they were much bigger than the dwarves. Most everyone was n I think they made them a joke in the movie. Very scary in the cartoon compared to the sissy movie in 2012
