"Then we rip Lindsey's clothes off"

Why did he say that? Lindsey is like 8 years old.

reply

He must have been serious! Call the cops!

reply

TOTALLY!

reply

Guess I didn't realize who Lindsey was when last watching it. Thought it was her friend whose dad was a cop.

reply

It’s a mistake but a pretty big one. I’ve seen the actress who made the mistake talk about it in interviews

reply

What actress are you talking about? P.J. Soles is in that scene but she doesn't say it. Her boyfriend in the scene does.

reply

Sorry I didn’t mean she said it. I saw PJ talking about the scene and the mistake. I don’t remember exactly what she said but she joked about the dialogue mistake.

reply

It's not a mistake.

It's in the screenplay and the novelization.

Carpenter and Hill wrote the line as it appears in the movie. It's a drunk teen trying to amuse his drunk ding-a-ling girl with a gross-out attempted joke.

reply

yah that dude was insane.
who wrote that dialogue anyway?! f***

reply

[deleted]

He didn't.

It's in the screenplay and novelization as heard in the film.

It's meant as it sounds.......a distasteful joke from a boozed up teen.

reply

I don't get why people cling to this terrible attempt at humor. He wasn't being serious, he was just a dumb teenager making a stupid joke.
