Would Michael still hunt Laurie down after being shot in the eyes?

Laurie shoots Michael either in the eyes or right above them in Halloween 2, he is blinded but still tries to get her, even after the explosion happens Michael walks outside of the room and makes his way down the hallway.

Assuming Dr. Loomis had been killed by Michael before he could light the match and blow the place up, would Michael really have been able to hunt Laurie down with his eyes shot or blinded?

Serious question because Michael was walking down the hallway on fire like normal, like he had recovered already, he had taken a coat hanger to the eye earlier in the night and still stalked Laurie after that, without that explosion Michael might have got up and kept on hunting her down through sheer willpower, Michael just seems to be that relentless.

On the other hand Michael might have finally been stopped even if he stabbed or choked Loomis to death before he could cause the explosion with the gas, being blinded he couldnt steal a car and drive or hunt down his victim easily, and the police would be there soon and catch him in his impaired state and capture or kill him this time.

Thoughts? I think that only Laurie shooting him in the eyes could stop him, he didnt die but he couldnt see anymore, according to Halloween H20 Michael got up and walked away after the explosion, probably took a long time to recover though.

he gave up on laurie and went after jamie lloyd.

i don't really consider H20 as part of official Halloween series for me. it doesn't recognise 4-6 so i don't recognise it. only 1-6 for me although i like "Resurrection"

kurt- he didn't give up on Laurie, she "died" and there was no way Michael would've known where she was or anything. So no matter which timeline you accept, 1-6 or 1-H20-8, Laurie was "dead". He didn't know she wasn't or he would've kept trying to find her.

oops i forgot 1-6 had her dead.

there was a scene where laurie mentions jamie in H20 but it wasn't included. or it was supposed to be filmed but wasn't.

i wish it was so every movie could run together

But they can't. Not use in trying. Laurie died, Loomis would've known and John and Jamie would've been twins and aware of each other's existence.

I don't even think of Halloween II as having "really" existed. It's fun, sure - certainly the best sequel of the MM storyline - but 1978's Halloween ends too perfectly for a followup story.

Disagree, Old. II ended the Myers storyline perfectly.

I agree. I like the fact that we don't know what happened to him. It leaves it up to us to draw our own conclusion.

Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years.

It is kind of an epic ending, admittedly. But,on the other hand, I want to know what happens to this character.

As much as I like Halloween II. I have to agree with this comment.

You can do both.

I don't see why not. Rather than being concerned with getting shot twice in the head he still continued to try and stab her.

I think that is because Michael was badly wounded, he was fighting back after his vision was impaired, remember in the closet scene he gets his eye poked out and he keeps on slashing around at her as a reflex to try to defend himself and fight back, yet his eye was screwed up and damaged when his mask was taken off.

So it was more of a glancing wound in the closet, in Halloween 2 you do see his eye looks normal after he jumps out and stabs the girl in the neck, like he heals quickly or brushes off injuries, maybe a gunshot to the eyes would be the deal breaker, but he seems like he got shot above them and the blood got into his eyes or maybe he did lose his eyes, his determination to keep fighting back was strong, like a wounded animal.

reply

Actually, you didn't see the eye that was stabbed when he hopped up and got Alice. Not clearly anyway. You only saw the one eye that was uninjured.

Too bad he killed Lester...He could have used him as a guide dog..

Being shot in the eyes is a wound one can easily survive. We saw in the movie 3 from Hell, the Firefly family were each shot like 20 times at least but because none of the bullets hit an organ, they were able to heal up just fine
