I think he is the only one who it would be impossible to replace in the original movie and maintain the same level of excellence. JLC would be hard to find an equal of but it could possibly be done? To me, it's not Halloween with out Pleasance as Dr. Loomis.
shareDonald was awesome, no question. If anybody could replicate the role of Loomis and maintain the quality of the character, it would be Sir Ben Kingsley (just my opinion). Malcolm McDowell was really good as well (though I'm not a fan of the way they treated the character in the sequel to the remake).
