Greased Lightning

A large portion of Greased Lightning is cut from cable due to certain language used in the lyrics.

I'm watching it right now and pretty sure the channel dubbed over a lot of the lyrics, especially in the beginning.

"Greased Lightning" was supposed to be sung by Jeff Conaway's character, Kenickie, as it is in the stage version. John Travolta used his clout to have his character sing it. The director felt it was only right to ask Conaway if it was okay. At first he refused, but he eventually gave in.

I think "Greased Lightning" was supposed to be like an Elvis Presley song.

Well some of Danny's moves were that of Elvis Presley and his singing was like his, but it would have been cool if Kenicke did the song it would have gave Jeff Conway more in the movie then just being supporting. Heck even Stockard Channing got to sing led on 2 songs.
