He was assisting Capt. Bennett up there.

Oh YES! Noticed it right away, he starred in superman for his next movie! He was such a great actor and handsome man! Never to be forgotten!

Well, since I saw his name in the opening credits, I was waiting for him to show up, but he sure looked gaunt compared to his beefed-up bod as the Man of Steel.

Yep. I also realized halfway through the film that one of the crewmen, "McAllister," was played by Charles Robinson, who played "Mac" on Night Court (not used to seeing him that young and with a full beard).
