A few days back my mom told me about a movie she saw on Tv a long long time ago and that the movie had actually been forbidden for a while. It's about a crashed plane that got uhm refurbished( is the english?) and the crew started seeing old crew members telling them they should put the plain to the ground...
So is this the one she's talking about?
It sounds like its the same one. I got a copy of it years ago and just watched it with my kids last night. The plane crashes in the Florida Everglades killing several but many survive. Then, over the next year or so, salvaged parts were used on other aircrafts. There were then sightings of the Flight Engineer on these other aircrafts.
It's a good movie and I'm sure you would enjoy it!
The aircraft was an Eastern Airlines L1011 and crashed in the Florida Everglades in 1972. This is the first time that I have heard about it not being allowed to be shown on television. Ex Astronaut Frank Bormann (President of Eastern Airlines) heard about the sightings of the ghost and threatened to fire any employee who kept the true story going.
We had a similar incident at Continental Airlines in the early 80's but not as famous as the Ghost of the dead pilot.
