Filmimg Locations

I saw this movie one night on Comcast in Demand. I did not know until the end that it was filmed in Sacramento. I am from the Fair Oaks area in Sacramento. I went back and watched the movie and saw the street sign Marysville Blvd. If anyone knows any other locations please let me know. Where was the scene at the oil plant filmed?

One of the cute girls in the movie was married to Cheech Marin for a brief while. I did not know that. I wish there was more nudity in the film.

Well, I know the gas station was at 3201 Marysville Blvd. I don't know about the oil plant. I think the High School was Grant Union; it still looks a lot like in the movie. It was kinda cool knowing it was filmed in Sacramento since I just moved back here.

The High School was definitely Grant Union and the Oil Plant was the P&G Plant on Fruitridge. Too funny, my grandparents used to live right behind that plant on 80th. Also, I'm not too sure, but it looks like those biker dudes were cruising down El Camino, which is near the old gas station.

I too was from the area. I just watched this on On Demand. I am actually in the movie! I was driving my Gran Torino and was at the light when an accident happened because people all around were watching the filming. I'm not noticible in any frames but I sure remember being there. The bikers were riding down Del Paso Blvd in one shot. You can see the old bowling alley in the background.
-Grant High School football is playing for state championship- I work for that school district- Oh, about five years after this was made, there was a movie made called "Rampage". Some of that movie was shot in the Sacramento area. In the scene when the little boy is at the carnival throwing the ping pong balls, I walk right by with my wife!

Copyright at the beginning is 1979- it's hard to make out on the old Vestron transfer but you can read it clearly on the Amazon download- sure wish they'd put out a DVD of that new transfer as it's pretty nice.

I now drive past that Proctor and Gamble plant on the way to work every day- that "Keep On Movin'" song always plays in my head! Wish I could find the soundtrack album.

If you look at Google streets you can see the old station as the California Recycling Center. And they did tear down the "new" station to leave just a parking lot. Funny thing is that the store or office behind the "new" station looks about the same along with the funky parking lot light fixture!!!

Here is a birdseye view of the intersection... you can still see the old station to the right and the empty lot on the left is where the other "prop" station was erected !
