Great Soundtrack

The Fury is another example of a movie that is made great by it's soundtrack.
John Williams music made this movie 'good' to some and 'great' to others.

I agree. This is one of Williams' best, imo. Creepy music!

I think there are some parts of the score that could have been done better, but overall I agree it set just the right mood for the film and is one of Williams' better works.

Oh please. You pretentious twat. What do you know about film scoring - more than John Williams? LOL!

The others here are so right. The score is stunning - one of my favorite Williams scores.

Brian De Palma is a VERY lucky man, having great composers like Bernard Herrmann, John Williams and Ennio Morricone composing scores for his films!

Williams' work here is brilliant! Beautifully performed by the London Symphony Orchestra.

Totally agree, but you forgot Pino Donaggio! His scores for Carrie, Body Double, Raising Cain, dressed to kill, and especially Blow Out are amazing, and beautiful.

I've just been watching this movie for the first time ever (courtesy of the new Arrow Videos release on Blu-ray). And as a big Williams fan, yes, I'm really enjoying the score, but ... I've just found a fairly rare example of John Williams recycling himself.

In the car chase scene by the waterfront, around 32 minutes in, the score is almost identical to several themes and orchestral ticks from CE3K, particular the scenes climbing Devil's Muntain.

They're far too alike for it to be conicidental. Maybe this was back before Williams really hit his creative stride.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
