1981 Pope shooting

Sort of triva, but I can't remember all the details.....Foul Play's network premiere was cancelled last minute because of Pope John Paul II being shot in the Vatican on May 13, 1981. Because the film's plot centered on the assasination of the pope network officials (don't remember which network)didn't think it was a good time to show it. Anyone else remember this???
