Austin Powers inspiration?

I didn't see a thread on this, and figured it was worth considering. Just watched a clip of Dudley Moore in his apartment with Goldie Hawn, and couldn't get over the resemblance to the Austin Powers character. Everything from the short goofy Englishman to all the sex gadgets in the apartment.

Has anyone ever thought of this?

just watched that scene and that was my thought too. he definitely has one shagadelic pad! (and in SF no less...what better place for fun?!)

First time I saw Austin Powers I flashed back to Dudley Moore in this movie - so I agree.

That was a funny scene which got funnier as it continued, good spotting. It's certainly possible.
