does anybody remember

a movie that takes place in a cold place. its after ww2 and there is a nazi base in it. the only thing i remember is there was on character whos father had a medal pined on by hitler himself. that was actually the diaglog, anybody know what film that was. i thought it was ice station zebra, but don't think so
