Where are the real bridge and dam?

Does anyone know the names of the bridge and dam depicted in the film?

reply

Scale models of the dam, the valley and the bridge were constructed at the Mediterranean Film Studios in Malta, which as of 2007 still houses the largest outdoor water tanks in Europe.

But it's supposed to look like the one in the city of Mostar, on the river Neretva.

The steep tunnel staircase under the dam (just before they blow it up they go down this) looked like a real location - anyone know where?

Both the movie and dam are in Montenegro (back than Yugoslavia). However, they are located on two different rivers.
Bridge - Đurđevića Tara Bridge (Tara River)
Dam - Piva Accumulation Lake and Piva River

The real bridge is Durdevica Tara Bridge on Tara river in Monte Negro. The bridge was built in 1940 and was largest concrete bridge in Europe at the time with length of some 400 meters or so. It was really blown up by Partisans in a commando type operation and later rebuilt in 1946. The real action was used later as idea for a Yugoslav partisan movie called Most directed by Hajrudin Siba Krvavac, it was shot in 1969 although that movie is far from dramatization of the real events and is more of, put in PC gaming terms, Agent Blaskovic shoot the Nazis up movie :)

From a post by Chrisso:

"The dam in this film is in Jablanica Bosnia (43.692305, 17.730872.)"

Throw those coordinates into Google Maps and you'll see exactly where the dam it.
