Is It Just Me...

...or does the DVD really suck? Non-anamorphic widescreen, no extras, no Chinese audio (just the dubbed version), and the picture looking like the 4th generation pirate. Here's hoping somebody remastered this hidden gem for a special edition DVD and maybe a re-issue in theatres. Guess we should our fingers crossed.

All, well pretty close to all, of the Shaw Bro. movie have been remastered, and enjoyed a short run at art theaters around the country back in 2003, and are now on DVD. Positives, 5.1 Dolby Digital Sound, anamorphic 16x9, extras, great transfers, English Subtitles. Negatives, Region 3 DVDs, no Eng. Dubbed Track. www.yesasia.com, www.hkflixs.com, and there's probably more, but I just deal with these two. Enjoy.

The remastered DVDs are done by a company called Celestial Pictures and between 2002 and 2007, they're remastering and releasing over 700 Shaw Bros. movies on DVD.

Dragon Dynasty(The Weinstein Brothers Co.) is expected to release Shaw Brothers movies on DVD for America. Not sure what titles though, all I know for sure is Master Killer and they're gonna be a Quentin Tarantino presentation, like how Hero was.
