I already have a copy of this, but I'm seriously considering double dipping on this just to get DD's release, which will most certainly be superior to any existent copy of the film.

I just crapped my pants. I didn't see this movie until about a month ago, a dub, and it blew my mind. The comment posted on the main page said it best -- the movie is the perfect blend of all the elements that make other martial arts movies good, but all in one film here. Dragon Dynasty doesn't have a flawless record but they've done some great work, especially with the old Shaw Brothers movies. I can't wait!

EDIT: It's listed on Amazon for August 18th!

I already have the CP version of this movie (which I love) but I might also consider getting the DD version. The only DD DVD I have is Hardboiled and the supplement disc for that movie was excellent. If DD can include an amazing bonus disc for Five Venoms, I'll definitely get it.

i already made an order.........august 18th release but it seems that there are only few supplemental features, only the commentary of bey logan and some subtitles

I've had this pre-ordered for a couple weeks now. Currently I have another copy, but i've been a long time supporter of Dragon Dynasty so I couldn't not get it. I was a little disappointed with the Special Features, in which there are none, only a commentary with Bey Logan, which are very insightful to listen to, but I wanted more. Overall, it's a great flick, and i'm hoping more of the Venom Mob flicks get re-released by Dragon Dynasty in the future. Preferably KID WITH THE GOLDEN ARM.

I just bought this dvd yesterday--it was in the video store a day before release. It has only one feature (commentary) but it's still a decent dvd and the movie itself is an excellent transfer. I highly reccommend you guys pick this one up pronto.

capt rhodes: Kickboxer!

This is a very solid film and recommended viewing for any fans of the genre. The disc itself sports an excellent transfer typical of the DD Shaw releases, a solid purchase despite the unfortunate lack of extras save for the commentary.
