Meta Fan Theory - FOD influenced the Satanic Panic

Faces of Death uses the faux doc style of story telling. It is a cinema device but one rarely scene in the late 70's. As such many people thought it was real. That includes the witches den at the end of the movie where they were supposedly participating in human sacrifices.

Again, many people thought this was real at the time. I rank this movie as one of the top three that made people see the devil everywhere in the later part of the 20th century. The other two are The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby. The book Michelle Remembers contributed greatly to the SRA "era" if you could call it that.

People believe documentaries even if they are fake.
