Linda Ronstadt

This movie happened when Linda Ronstadt actually looked good, and also, I think that Cleavon Little & Don Cheadle were seperated at birth

This is Ms. Ronstadt at her finest. I've always considered her a fine technical performer. She hits her notes on pitch and time and she's always had that. But, she lacked emotional intimacy with her singing. Her on screen performances are so good. She is to emotional and had an edge that is lacking on any of her studio work. Her performace pieces on the FM soundtrack are her best ever!

If you like her in this check out Chuck Berry's "Hail, Hail, Rock n Roll." She performs Back in the USA w/ Chuck that will send shivers down your spine.

Linda Ronstadt was IT so far as I am concerned. Such a big voice coming out of such a little thing (back then). Many of us girls wanted to be her, and all the boys I knew wanted her (which made all us girls so jealous). She was at her best when she was singing country-rock heartbreakin' songs in the 70's. I don't agree with the poster that said she lacks emotion -- my gawd, her interpretation of Love Has No Pride is superb!

Linda looked and sounded her best here. The remark about her not lacking emotional intimacy with her singing is totally off base. She had one of the most passionate and easily recognizable voices in the industry. I saw her in concert on multiple occasions, and she always did a great job. It is sad that later in her career, she chose to include political commentary during her shows. Many people would leave when the subject changed from great music to politics. Also very sad that she lost her voice, but props to her for a well deserved place in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

LOVED her political commentary in which she was spot on. Only a few right wingers and ultra conservatives ever left which was good riddance....go attend a Lawrence Welk or a crazy Ted Nugent concert. Plenty of other righty country rock singers. Linda was a breath of fresh air. Sweet and sexy, she was and always will be the queen of country rock and roll.
