keidis

I was reading anthony keidis'(red hot chili peppers) autobiography, and he talks about how he appears as stallone's son under the alias cole dammet in fist, and stallone was a jerk to him. just pointin' that out

reply

I read that too. Shame really, as Sly is one of my fave actors of all time. Oh well.

reply

what does he literal says in his book?
i dont know why teh credits says that his name was cole dammet...

reply

Cole Dammet was the professional name he choose that time for acting and, in "Scar Tissue", Anthony Kiedis said:
"When i got to the set, i went to Stallone's trailer and knocked on the door, figuring we should bond before we shot our big scene (they only have one scene together).
'Who's that?' said a gruff voice from the trailer.
'It's Cole. I'm playing your son in the scene we're about to do,' I answered.
He cautiously opened the door. 'Why are you here?' he said.
'I'm plaing your son, so i thought that we sould get some hang time in so i could develop-'
Stallone interrupled me. 'No, i don't think so,' he said and looked around for a PA. 'Somebody come and get this kid. Get him out of here', he screamed'. "

And was that!

read that too

reply

i think scar tissue would make a great film in its own right.

reply

Haha such an aweasome read, it would make good film i reckon.

I laughed because you canb just tell Stallone would be like that

'You're gonna have to answer to the Coca-Cola company.'

yeah imagine how poor 'lil anthony felt man, plus you kinda have to take actors interviews with a grain of salt. they are actors after all.

reply

It would be. But I would think it would be hard to find actors to play all the people (women) he's associated with throughout his life. Plus would the Chili's play themselves? They all look much older than they did back in '85. But yeah it would make a great story. I just finished reading it a few days ago and was surprised he was willing to relive and recount some of the darkest times in his life so openly and honestly because he seems like kind of a reserved guy who stays out of the spotlight and enjoys his privacy for the most part.

reply

anthony kiedis got laid before he turned 12

reply

I KNOW LOL

reply

Yeah, that sucks for Kiedis, but really, shouldn't a 15-year-old know better than to bother the star of a major motion picture? As mentioned, it is a small scene and I'm sure they did rehearsals. Sounds like he just wanted to get some alone time with the star, as would most everybody on a movie set. The big stars probably want their privacy while taking a break.

I don't know about you, but if I'm 15, in my first movie with a big star, I'll wait for the big star to come to me for some "bonding time."

reply

True, but Keidis sure as hell didn't get where he is by "waiting for things to happen" so to speak. He got up and MADE things happen; I think that's the best thing to take away and feel inspired from his autobiography, Scar Tissue.

reply

This is a cool discussion, and I'm not even a Keidis fan.

There are valid points on both sides, but I think Stallone did admit that he was a bit of a jerk when he made that movie because of all the success of Rocky going to his head.

reply

that maybe true, diggler but he knows the difference between a fellow actor and a child. there's no excuse for that pathetic behaviour. i bet he's been like that throughout his professional life. he's made his good films, he won't make anymore.

reply

Keidis was nobody and he knew it. He was being an aho, which he was until he cleaned up, and he was trying to piss off Stallone, sort of in-your-face arrogance on his part.

reply

Cripes, what ever happened to being POLITE? It sounds like "the kid" was being polite and professional and Sly was acting like a "stah." (I've also heard that Ben Stiller and Meg Ryan preferred, or ordered, that extras not make eye contact with them while they were working.)
