'He came here to kill me'. SPOILERS

I was just wondering/thinking about Laura's 911 call at the end. She says that he (Neville) came there to kill her. But I dont really think that he did--or at least I question it. I really think he was coming to take her away and that his meeting and killing Michael is what set him off. I'm not saying that he wasn't eventually going to take her life or at least attempt it, just not then, if it hadn't been for Michael. Though I guess technically her statement still stands: by the time he got to her apartment door he was there to kill her....
