Got the new DVD today!

Hey, just got the DVD today. The only 'special feature' offered is 1 theatrical trailer. Other than that, you have the choice of full-screen, or wide-screen. I really enjoy this movie a lot(hence my username!) and am glad to have it on DVD now. The picture quality is obviously superior to the VHS tape I own, and the DVD case has cool graphics, as well as a scene selection sleeve located inside. Wish there were more 'feautures', but other than that, this movie is just fun to watch over and over again.

There's another special feature. If you put the widescreen side you can watch an alternate start of the movie

Thank you 'remadri2000'. I will be sure to check it out. I don't know why, but I just enjoy watching this movie over and over again!!

One of the funniest lines:

Isabel: You don't care about the money

O'Neal: Might even send it to him!

Did you know that director Walter Hill has an 135 minute cut?

reply

C'Mon Walter Hill release the uncut version!

reply

I'd settle for Walter Hill releasing the original theatrical cut of The Warriors, I've never forgiven him for Lucasing it.

At 91 minutes, this film is lean, tight and succinct. If a 2hr 15 minute cut does exist (and I'm always a bit sceptical about these supposed longer versions you often hear about) then I can't imagine it would have the same impact. In this case, less is definitely more.

Wow, ive had the dvd for more than a year and didn't know the trailer was on it. Thanks for the tip Driver78.

The DVD soundtrack could use some help; not nearly enough bass. I'll have to hook up something like the AudioControl Epicenter next time I watch this movie if I can't find some way to enhance the soundtrack with software.

I agree. I think this film works well at its current length.

What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!

I just watched the Blu-ray version which is as awesome as you'd expect, though the sound is scratchy. I loved the ending which was unexpected and yet logical. No need for more than 100 mins, either.

reply

I fully agree.
But I'd give my right arm to see the 2hr 15min version so I could compare it, at least once :)

I come in peace, Shoot to kill!!!
