On TCM 09/16/16
Never even heard of this before. Glad The Underground is Back.
In the same boat as you never heard of it and am watching it now. I love TCM underground too I only wish they had it going all year instead of it being so sporadic, I always check the guide on Saturday but it seems TCM rarely plays these kinds of movies very much, I wish they would devote more time to stuff like this instead of so many repeats of movies from 1930s-40's all the time. I Really can't be bothered with movies before the 1950's, I have a few real early films I like ( of mice and men is a good example) but that time period IMO has some really hokey acting its all over the top and like a stage play type stuff just not my thing.
shareTotally agree! The last 2 or 3 months have been dry on Saturday nights. With Halloween around the corner. I hope they continue there Horror run. Saturdays 11pm is such a perfect time slot for these type of movies. It would be even better if they brought a Host back to the format.
shareFinally!!! I have never heard of this for some reason. TCM was dry as the desert for so long. I remember the Pack. pretty good Killer fido flicks.
shareI have never heard of it either. And I too am watching it right now :). I wonder what breed of dog "Draculas Dog" is. He kind of looks like a blue Beauceron but that is a pretty rare breed nowadays. Let alone in the 70s...
Anyways yes I love TCMs underground. It's great catching movies like this.
I'm almost positive the dog is a Doberman dyed to be black. Just like the white bird dog in the movie later turned black. Some points in the close ups of the dog I can see the rust red coloring of his muzzle.
shareMe, too. Heard about, but never saw it. It is a great little B movie.
shareI think this may be the first time TCM has shown it. It's not great but at least it's new to me. I'm also a TCM Underground fan. It sucks that it's gone every August because of the one Star all day deal. It does seem to disappear at random sometimes as well. I will put up with those type of shenanigans though because they sometimes show Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky. It's one of the greatest movies of all time and a must see.
shareReally they have shown Riki-oh thats pretty damn cool I did not know that. They should do a double feature of that and "The Ebola Syndrome" that would be awesome to watch while having a few beers.
shareWatching it too. Didn't know about it. Great treat to start getting in the mood for Halloween.
