Salome Otterbourne undoubtedly HAD written hurtful bullshit about her. that quack doctor WAS a dangerous quack. Her maid's lover obviously WAS a dirtbag, and anyone who stopped that marriage was doing the maid a favor. Etc. Linnet was a beyotch, but she wasn't in the wrong in her conflicts.

Really, the only unsympathetic thing she ever did was break Jackie's heart, but then, maybe she saw things in Jackie that we didn't.
