Overrated use of the word overrated.

If you give a movie a 1/10 you should explain why you felt that way. This movie is beautiful and poetic with believable performances. I give it a 9.

to each his own. terence malik has a particular pace and style of film making. you either like it or you don't.

I was a young kid in the early 80s and I remember this film not recieving good press. It was labeled boring and dumb. It's interesting that other films from the same era that were very popular with critics have been forgotten and this one has continued to keep its dignity and has become a film that gets analyzed.
