Is Days of Heaven an Autumn film?

I'm doing a study on the theme of Autumn films and I was contemplating whether Days of Heaven is an Autumn film. Much of the film is set at harvest time with also some winter scenes. So my conclusion is that it is an Autumn film.

yes it is.
But you have to view the Paramount DVD to get the fall feeling.
For some reason, the remastered Criterion Edition has all the red tint drained out of it.
I have good color memory. And the fact that i could sit thru 2 screening per day, i viewed the film
over the process of a couple years, watched it maybe 25 times, and had nearly every frame and color highlight memorized;

But the color from the otherwise perfect DVD seems drained:

as they enter the farm and pass thru the gate. The sunset red is gone. its almost pink
when they go hunting, the bushes and grass seem lifeless
finally, as they search for Bill in the woods, they took out all the glorius autumnal hues.

The director approved this new DVD....BUT...

he also approved the color timing on the motion picture, and this dvd/br does not match the palette on the motion picture
